Pretty average product.Nov 17, 2009 It's not the best fan but does the job. Relatively quiet and moves a good amount of air. I got this fan because it had the dual intake/exhaust feature. However the side extensions are flimsy and don't stay open even when "locked". Furthermore, the directions recommend that you not leave this in a window during the rain...what's the point of making a window fan if you can't leave it in a window?
Over all it is an OK fan, but feels relatively cheaply made. If you are going to use this more than just occasionally, or desire to leave this in the window for long periods of time, you would be better off getting a higher quality fan.
Window fanNov 17, 2009 The fan is exactly as advertised and works great. It cools the rooms as it draws the air in at the other end of the house.
Honeywell fan.Nov 16, 2009 Originally I loved this thing...it would instantly cool my room at night. But now that I've had it for a couple of months it makes a rattling noise that is so ANNOYING. The fan is not made to be opened up so.. its impossible to unless you have a special screwdriver. So now I'm gonna have to break it open to fix it.
Poor quality build/materialsOct 28, 2009 This is really a plastic piece of junk.
After 4 weeks of very little use (~2 hours per day), the right fan can barely spin so it basically has 1/2 of its capacity now.
After about a 1/2 hour, the motor in both fans give off a slight heated plastic/electrical odor so I don't let it run for more than 1 hour. Seriously, how hard is it to make a quality window fan with modern technology?
more or less what I expected it to beOct 26, 2009 I purchased 2 of these for two of my bedrooms. The fan is a real space saver as it fits nicely on the windowsill. The twin fan with the exhaust option works great. Earlier we has a Honeywell high velocity fan, it was noisy as hell, I got up each morning with a splitting headache. I must say this one is a lot quieter. Overall I'm happy with the purchase.
