greatNov 15, 2009 I been looking for years for an region free DVD player here in the USA. I finely found it on Amazon. In one word it is great.
Great for the priceNov 13, 2009 My husband is from the UK and had brought all of his UK DVDs with him when he moved 3 years ago. We had previously bought another unit that was too complicated to figure out (and never did actually play the UK DVDs), so we took it back. A few months ago we decided to try again and ordered this one. It works great for the price and hopefully it will last a little bit longer than another poster's "one year." Plus, you can plug a USB "memory stick" in and view pictures on the TV if you want. We do not use it much since the majority of our DVDs work on our other DVD for the US zone. Very happy campers!

NOT Multi-region!Nov 12, 2009 This will NOT play PAL DVDs. I bought it specifically to do that and it will NOT play PAL discs. All you get is a region error code. It makes me wonder if Amazon actually checks the info it puts up about products.

It couldn't be easierOct 15, 2009 Tired of watching my Region 2/PAL DVDs on my computer and looking for a better way, I typed in "multiregion" in the search box and came up with this gem. And it couldn't be any easier to use-- unwrap, plug in, attach HDMI cable, put batteries in remote, set screen language to English, and play. I immediately tried one of my German DVDs-- it worked great, without a hitch. Then an American Region 1/NTSC-- ditto. Excellent picture and sound quality. As a bonus, the remote has some discrete buttons for features that are sometimes buried in menus with other DVD players. Highly recommended.

Great, for a YEAR.Oct 11, 2009 Last night, the region-free DVD player that is the backbone of our family's entertainment (being from Slovakia and living in the USA) froze and stopped reading all DVD's- NTSC or PAL. This product was great right till the end, but the fact is that the one year warranty went out just two months ago. This is very likely a case of "built-in obsolescence." When I called the manufacturer, they appologized for the inconvenience- and left us to buy another one. Therefore- let the buyer beware: you may be buying one every year... just after warranty.
