I bought this adapter for a low price from a random seller and it stopped working after a week. I then paid a lot more to buy a second one directly from Amazon- this one actually works well. You get what you pay for when it comes to this product.

I purchased this charger for my girlfriend's laptop because her OEM charger had stopped working completely. Cheap price, fast shipping, and it works. So why 3 stars? On the outside, it looks like the OEM charger, but the manufacturer of the charger obviously created their own version of it and put an OEM sticker on it. The sticker doesn't even line up with the charger, so you know it's just a knock off. Not a real big deal since I knew I was buying a 3rd party charger anyways.
More importantly for the 3 stars is that the brick on the charger gets hot. VERY HOT. It went from ice cold to hot in about 10 minutes and almost unbearably hot in about 30 minutes. I didn't believe my girlfriend the first time she mentioned it, but I experienced myself and it does get pretty hot. In addition, once the brick gets hot, the trackpad starts acting funny. It makes small jumps when you swipe your finger, making it hard to move around accurately. Once the plug is removed, the trackpad goes back to normal.
I noticed that the outlet wire is rated for 2.5A, 250V and the OEM charger is supposed to be much less (1.5A, 140V if I recall correctly). I'll try swapping it out with one that doesn't have a grounding plug on it and hopefully that will solve the heating issue.
Overall, she needed a charger to keep her laptop alive and this does exactly that.

You couldn't ask for a better seller, DealBarn did everything right. I do think Toshiba could make a charger that lasts longer. From what I've read early failure is common with this charger.

I broke my power cord to my lap top (it wore out because I always had it bend at the plug in site). I searched high & low for a new one. Every where I "shopped" had these for at least $70. Found this for $20 and am thrilled! Works great.
